Spring/Easter Layout

I just love this layout. The colours, the papers , the ribbon... . Everything is from the Making Memories Garden Party collection. There are so many yummy ribbons and papers that it's so hard not to use them all on one layout.

I made this with a RAK /Sketch challenge set by Brook on the Crafty Scrapper . It's the first 12x12 I've done at home in about 6mths, so thanks for the inspiration Brook :D

Happy Easter!

Here is a little easter basket I made from a complimentary template I got HERE. Personally I'd stick tons more blossoms and ribbons on it but I didn't get the time, plus it's 3.31pm here now so not much point in worrying about it. Easter Sunday is nearly over. (insert eyerolling emoticon!!)

UPDATE on the basket..... it was given to Nanny (my mom) this evening by my little man. He thought she should have it. I'm happy to say that she loved it, and sees it as something to be placed in her display cabinet! Can you tell we've never had a paper crafter in the family before?? LOL!!

Totally off topic..

... but I did my personalitly test and this is my result;

Your Personality is Very Rare (INFP)

Your personality type is dreamy, romantic, elegant, and expressive.

Only about 5% of all people have your personality, including 6% of all women and 4% of all men

You are Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving.

The Part of You That No One Sees

You are passionate, romantic, and emotional.

You put love first in your life, even though you have often been disappointed by it.

You expect to be swept of your feet, and you never expect infatuation to die out.

Underneath it all, you are scared that you aren't lovable.

Your insecurity has ruined many relationships, as you are unable to see the love that's really there.

You are secretly afraid of being alone. Confronting your insecurities is incredibly painful.

New goodies.... and a little rant ;)

Today I ordered some new papers and embellies to make a Father's Day book for my hubby. I get so frustrated with the lack of supplies here, and irritated that I have to 'settle' on supplies as it's all I can get. The online stores here do their best, but I long to hit Michaels, Hobby Lobby and AC Moore!!! I only got to visit an AC Moore whilst in the States and I could have happily spent hours in there... had I not had 2 kiddos with me (not to mention the hubby rolling his eyes!)!! I didn't even need to buy all that much, I think it was just the pure fascination of walking into a store and having so much to hand.... to touch... and to see exactly what it was that I was buying. That's the trouble with buying online, you don't get a true picture until it arrives on the doorstep. And by that time you've paid and there's nothing you can do if it wasn't what you thought it was.

Thankfully I've never had a bad experience with the online shopping... (fingers crossed, touch wood... and all that!) And to be fair, we can get a whole lot more now than we could 2yrs ago, so it's getting better. And I'm very lucky in the sense that the owner of one of the sites is only about 10mins drive from me, so I can order and then go pick it up the same day! Now if only I could convince her to buy in all the products I want! LOL!! ;)

So, rant over! I did order my papers.. I got some MR chipboard albums from ebay... and I'm looking forward to getting started as soon as my papers arrive!!!

I am now adding a Father's Day book to my ever increasing list of 'things to make'. Did I mention the Easter book??.........

More cards..

Here are just a few more of the Thank You cards I'm making. I love the pure simplicity of them.

Dry spell..

I need to make something. I have an itch to make something.. ANYTHING!! Real life is getting in the way again :(

I am finally getting new storage this week. Hopefully this will solve my issue of having to drag everything out of my tote bags, utility room and overhead cupboards.. my stash SHOULD finally be in one place and easily accessible. Now I need to take some friends advice .. box and label properly right from the start!!!

Maybe I'll go make a card.. lol!

Some pictures.....

This is the little pink book I did at Becky's 'make & take' I love it!!!

The 'make & take ' AnnaMarie did with us , using her bind it all. Not sure what I'll do with the book yet....This is the the layout I did in Ambers Cloass. A love inspired layout using Fancy Pants Crush papers.

I have 3 more projects that are not ready enough to post pictures of.
1) A gorgeous chipboard and transparency book complemented by Deja View Timelss Papers.
2) A DLO using acetates and K & Co. papers and embellishments.
3) A keepsake box tiled with painted paperclay tiles and a 22 page book bound with bamboo and thread.

I hope to get all 3 finished by the end of the week....

Crafteire Weekend!

I've just spent a whole weekend crafting, doing classes and meeting new people at the Crafteire event. A fantastic event by all means. It was great to meet people I've been 'chatting' with online and finally put faces to names.. even though using their real names was weird when I'm so used to their usernames :S

Of course there were stores there!! I got some new projects to do from Kelly Papers Crafts, including acetate sheets and Staz-On inks. I completed some layouts which I need to add pics to. The make & takes were great. Becky did a fantastic little folder book with us and I love it. It's irresistably pink!!! AnnaMarie did a DLO incorporating a 12x12 acetate sheet.

Pics to follow... when I manage to unpack!!
