Enjoy!! And don't forget to link up on Marcea's Blog if you play along.

Anyone for Anya - A sketch for you!

Good morning and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! The kiddos have been counting down the days and are uber excited that it's finally here. We go trick or treating this evening and I have no doubt that I will be asked a gazillion times before then if it's time yet.

Anyhooo, on to my card. This week on Anyone for Anya? we have a fabby sketch for you to follow, as we do on each last Sunday of the month.

I was browsing The Greeting Farm site recently and spied a gorgeous set, Darling Sisters, on sale at only $7!! They were just too cute to leave sitting there, especially at that price so they came to live with me .. and they brought Grammie & Gramps with them, lol. ;)

The image I used is my favourite of the 3 in the set. They are all beautiful but this one is soooooo cute.

I used a 4" circle doily behind my image, spritzed it with Diamond Glimmer Mist and dried it off with my heat gun. The effect is really lovely, and much nicer than the pic shows. I also inked the edges with Forest Moss, added star dust stickles to the edges of all my papers and on the image - this card SPARKLES!!
I will be back a little later today with my pick for Music Saves My Soul Saturday {a day late}. Hubster is away at a swap meet and I hope to get a little crafty time in, if the kids aren't wired to the moon with excitment and force me to get into the Halloween 'spirit', lol.

Meanwhile, have a peeky over on the AFA? Blog at what my teamies have created this week.

Catch ya soon

Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge & CES Challenges.

Hi!! OMGosh, what a busy day I've had.. fun, but busy :) This blog post was supposed to publish at 8am this morning but it was after midnight when I typed it up and I changed the date to the 31st.. haha, blonde moments - gotta laugh at them.

I have 2 cards to share today.....

I distressed all my papers with my scissors and then inked them with Antique Linen. I made a pocket for the front using a little piece of patterned paper, and stamped the sentiment & scrolls on it - both are from Compliments of the Season. To finish off I added some little roses and paper pleated a border for the bottom.

Next up in my CES Challenges card. It was my turn to set the challenge and I chose CHOCOLATE CARAMEL. I love using shades of browns, but you can interpret the theme how you please. Check out some of the great ideas the rest of the team have come up with.

On my card I'm using Ronnie Says Cheers image by DigiStamp Boutique  to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Ronnie is available to buy HERE

Papers are Bo Bunny and I've distressed and inked the edges.  I coloured my image using copic markers and used star dust stickles for the froth on the drink. My flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid and Prima.

Thanks for popping in today. Have a wonderful Saturday :)

Pumpkin - YR 16, 18 & Y15

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Hi everyone!! I'm feeling sooooooooooo much better today - thanks to everyone for the well wishes. Of course the down side to feeling better is that I have 4 days of housework to catch up on... ach!!

Anyhoooo, I have really enjoyed my crafty days and have a little something to share today that I made for the Lily of the Valley Challenge which is "Winter Fun". I bought some LOTV stamps a while back but, of course, I have only got around to inking up a couple thus far, so I thought it was time to rectify that situation, especially as the new stamps will be released very soon, lol.

I am also entering into Papertake Weekly's Challenge - Sparkly & Bright, ABC Challenges - G is for Glitter & Simon Says Challenges - Punch 'em {use punches or dies}

Now, anyone who knows me knows I LOVE to make off the page projects, so I set to work on a Fleur De Lis Ornament - turorial by Becca Feeken - I think it looks very much like a big snowflake :D  I do love cards but I am the most patient person when it comes to templates.  However, THIS project tested me.. oooooooooh yeah!! My advice to anyone who wants to make this is to work with the centre (blue) in 2 pieces. Trying to stick the pieces together and THEN add it was a nightmare!! It's too fiddly, well it was for me anyway, as I only have 12mm tape which was way too wide.

The Ornament in all it's glory, lol.

To make this you need both the Fleur De Lis and circle nesties. You also need an empty ribbon spool approx 3" in diameter. I made 2 medalions, one for each side of the spool, but I kept the back side plain, with just a brad added to the middle.

And this is how it looks from the side. I've added a strip of paper around the spool where the ribbon was.

Image: - Lili of the Valley : Christmas Angel Standing coloured using Copic markers:

Hair - E50, 51, 53
Skin - E21, 51, 00, 000 & E02(cheeks)
Gown - B00, B000
Holly wreath - G82, 85, R24, Y26

Tools: Cuttlebug, Fleur De Lis & Circle Nestabilities

Thanks so much for popping in today. Now I am off to chuck kiddos into the bath while I put away a TON of laundry.

Have a fun day!

Creative Card Crew and a quick make..

Hi again, I'm back with my 2nd post of the day.

This fortnight the challenge on Creative Card Crew is PUNCH IT.  Use a punch on your creation.

I'm also entering into the Inky Impressions challenge which is Add Flowers

I used Martha Stewart embossed snowflake punch on My Mind's Eye papers. The image is called Emma with Chickadee by Fred She Said, who are sponsoring this challenge. I used copic markers to colour my image and added star dust stickles to the trim on her coat. To embellish I added some ribbon, pearls and pins. The poinsettia is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Copics:
 Skin: E21, 51, 00, 000 & E02(cheeks)
Coat & Skirt: R24, 27, 29
Boots: E42, 43, 44
Hair: E50, 51, 53

This is a Christmas Cracker I made this morning, which was inspired by Cardmaking and Papercrafts latest edition. They are so quick and simple to make and I can definitely see my family getting these filled with goodies for Christmas!!

Whiff of Joy, Sketch Saturday & Papertake Weekly - in one :)

Good afternoon!! I've had another crafty morning, too sick to do much else :(

It's been a while since I've inked up a WOJ stamp but a little bit of motivation from the new WOJ Facebook page was all I needed. First time out of the package for this cute pair. I thought the Waltzing Mouse Sentiment was pefect for the image.

I distress the My Mind's Eye papers with my scissors and then inked them with Brushed Cordoroy ink. My image is coloured with copic markers and has had an abundance of Star Dust stickles applied,  as has the card itself, lol. My flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I am entering this card into:
Whiff of Joy - Distressing
Papertake Weekly - Sparkly & Bright
Inky Impressions - Add Flowers

I will be back a little later with my Creative Card Crew DT card - the post on the challenge blog will be a little late today -  and also a quick make from this morning that won me a prize :D

Have a great afternoon

 Congratulations DeniseB - email me on sandunne4 {at} gmail {dot} com with your snail mail address and I'll get your prize out to you on Tue {Bank Holiday here so no postal services tomorrow}

Now I would like to share a very late PaperPlay Challenges card.  The challenge was set by Vera who wants to see Orange, Blue and Olive Green on  your creations. Not a colour combo I could visualise until I actually sat down and got started.

Image/Sentiment - Waltzing Mouse : Half Pint Heroes
Papers - Basic Grey : Oh Baby Boy
Jute & Scrappers Floss  - Cardz 'n' Scrapz

Copics:
Rocket:YG 95, 97 - B21, 23 - E08, 09 - E40, 42 - W3
Skin - E21, 51. 00, 000 & E02(cheeks)

*******************************

I made another Mini Treat Box today, at the request of my 4yr old daughter.

This time I used some sweet girly papers and "hugs & kisses" ribbon. The image is the stamp I won on Penny Black's FB page a while back - I cut it to size using scalloped circle nesties. I could make these boxes forever - love them!! lol.

Thanks for stopping by today

Anyone for Anya? - Halloween!! .. and a little bit more :)

Hey all!! I've got a few projects to share with you today.

Anyone for Anya want to see Halloween themed creations from you this week. I used the CUTEST little digi 'she devil'. I chose this image because my little one has a similar outfit for halloween... ;) The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse.

Copics Used:
Skin: E21, 51, 00, 000 & 02{cheeks}
Dress & Shoes: R24, 27, 29, C9, 8, 5
Hair: E50, 51, 53

*******************************

Penny Black posted a challenge on Facebook this weekend. They want to see mini treat boxes made to a template. I didn't have any PB stamps small enough for these boxes -  the largest is 1.5" cubed and the smallest is 1" cubed... so I used some of Waltzing Mouse's halloween stamps.

I'm entering these into Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge - Anything but a Card
and Really Reasonable Ribbons Challenge - Halloween

And finally -  I made a pumpkin tag using The Crafty Alley's new October Kit -

This tag was my daughter's idea.. as were the wiggly eyes. I used an abundance of stickles -  black, purple & orange on the black flower - which I had folded in half and secured with a halloween brad. The outline and 'goo' were also done with black stickles.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Anyone for Anya - Anything but a Card

Morning!! Well blogger let me down yesterday, I had this post scheduled but as we can see, it didn't publish!! Onwards and upwards .. and not much swearing under my breath...

This week's challenge on Anyone for Anya is to make anything other than a card. I've had a bare chipboard doorhanger by K & Company for a couple of months and I'd promised my son I'd make him a hanger for his door so that's what I did :)

The papers are a mix of K & Company and Basic Grey. I coloured my Greeting Farm image using copic markers:

Skin: E21, 51, 00. 000 & 02(cheeks)
Hair: E50, 51, 53
Sweater: E07. 09
Jeans & Socks: B91, 93, 95
Controller: W3, 5, 7
"Gaming in Progress" was made up using Thickers, circle alpha stickers and my dymo label maker. I added some raffia and buttons to finish off.

Challenges:
Papertake Weekly - 3 of a kind (3 Buttons)

Have a great day  & happy crafting!

October Friends of Waltzing Mouse Blog Waltz

Hi everyone!! This  month's Friends of Waltzing Mouse Waltz is themed Autumn/ Harvest.

To play along you must link up your blog on the WMS forum and post your entry on your blog.  If you aren't registered on the WMS forum it just takes a minute to do so.

There is also a thread for chatting and participating in our contest!

For this month's Waltz competition you have to guess the theme of one of the stamp sets being released in November. Each participating DT members will have a one-word clue on their blogs.

Once you get them all you hop over to the thread and leave your guess, to be in with a chance of winning a stamp set of your choice.

I used the Teeny Trees stamp set for my card today. {if you REALLY want to get your hands on this set just leave a comment HERE - it's the last day to enter my blog candy}. The sentiment is from Bountiful Baskets Additions.

I just love these stamps, however I was really careless today and lost one of the fabby leaf stamps.. I kid you not it  was like trying to find a NEEDLE in a haystack. but of course it turned up stuck to the bottom of another stamp set!

This is my first Friends of Waltzing Mouse blog waltz as DT member for WMS and yesterday was my first Sketch Challenge as same... but oh yeah... guess who forgot to post it.. *blush*. I had that feeling all day like I was forgetting something but not for the life of me could I figure out what. So here it is .... a day late.. great start, eh?!!

I am loving long cards at the moment. I used the Musical Backgrounds stamps, with Close to my Heart 'Topiary' in on my green paper, leaving it a little distressed on the sides, then I used my scissors to distress the edges of the paper. The heart and sentiment is from Seasons of Love - Tags (Nestie Friendly) set.

I got the beautiful ribbon from MemrieMare on Etsy.

I do hope you can join us for this month's blog waltz!! Have fun!!

Halloween Card for a few Challenges

Hi! Just a quick post today with a card I made for a few challenges. I saw this cute Witch digi on Mamidoodles and just had to have her. She's soooooooo cute!!

It was only while making this card that I realised how few Halloween papers or emellishments I have. I suppose it's partly because we don't "do" Halloween here in a big way, but I love to make Halloween themed projects regardless.

I coloured The Witch using copics and sponged the background with Bundled Sage distress ink. My ribbons are from the remnants of my Raspberry Ribbon kits.  The flowers are some older primas that I had in my stash.

The Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Halloween
iCopic Lover - Purple, Orange & Black
Papertake Weekly - favourite challenge from the last 3 years. - Frightful but Delightful from Oct 2008
Double Dutch - Boo to You

Thanks for popping in.. now I'm off to make dinner!! Back tomorrow :)

Anyone for Anya? - Colour Combo

Hi everyone :) It's Sunday so that means a new challenge on Anyone for Anya?. This week we have a photo inspiration colour combo for you..

Purple, White & Grey (Silver)

We have a wonderful prize, sponsored by our very own Carissa, of a Unity Stamp set and some gorgeous October Afternoon papers for one very lucky entrant.

I struggled with this one, I really did.. I just seemed to have a mental block about the colours, lol. Instead of a card I made a little wall hanging.

I used 80's Anya and coloured her using Copic markers AND Promarkers, then used my nesties to make the circle and scalloped circle and added a sentiment from Waltzing Mouse's new Frame It stamp set.

I punched the holes and added silver eyelets with my crop-a-dile and threaded some lace through.  To embellish I added some white and 2-tone purple roses, and tiny white pearls. To add a bit of sprarkle I've added some stickles to Anya's skirt and the flowers.

Hope you like! Please take a minute to visit my teamies' blogs to say hello.
Have a great Sunday,

Waltzing Mouse New Release Blog Waltz

Hi everyone!! If you've come here from Joan's blog you are on the right path, if not you need to go back to the start of the hop over at Claire's blog.

For todays samples I used all but the Text It stamp set. I just love Holiday Labels 14. I made some cute notelets using the Labels 14 dies and sponged them using 3 different colour inks. The sentiments are from the Frame It set.

I stamped out one of the flowers from the Big Blooms - Poinsettia, cut it out and mounted it on 3D pop dots. Then I added a yellow pearl to the centre of the flower.

I also made a sweet pink tag, I just love adding these to gifts and they always get a great response.

Again, I used the Labels 14 dies and some Victorian Velvet distress ink. I stamped the smaller poinsettia, from the Big Blooms - Poinsettia, with the Victorian Velvet and the sentiment, from Compliments of the Season, in Momento 'London Fog'. In the centre of the poinsettia I added both pink and silver liquid pearls and to embellish I added some lucious lace and a 2-tone pink rose.

To participate in the hop, leave a comment on each of the DT's Blog Waltz posts. There will be prizes for two lucky people - one from all comments left on Claire's post and one from all comments left on a DT blog to be determined. The competition will end at 11:59pm EASTERN on October 9th

You need to continue the waltz over on Bonnie's blog. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

PaperPlay Challenges - Sketchtastic

Happy Thursday!! We have a great sketch for you to follow over on PaperPlay Challenges this week. We are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps and I've used 2 of their images on my cards today.

While making the first card I kinda lost the run of  myself and it ended up looking nothing like the sketch but I LOVE IT, and just thought I'd share anyway, lol!! This cute image reminds me of how I feel in the mornings.. Not for the life of me can I think of where I got the sentiment.. well no, I know where I got it but I just can't think of the name of the site at the moment.. must be getting old!!

*edited to add that the name of the blog is Create with TLC :D *

The 2nd attempt at following the sketch went a little better.

Isn't that image just so cute?!! I used some more Basic Grey Figgy which I thought went perfectly with the image. I'm going to enter into Basic Grey Challenges newest challenge  - Sparkle - as I've used plenty of Star Dust stickles :D

The sentiment on this card is from Waltzing Mouse's Frame It set which will be released tonight. We will be having a blog waltz from 7pm GMT and there will be a few chances to win stamps :D :D :D  - so make sure to join me back here then!!

Have fun and happy crafting

Waltzing Mouse Stamps - October Release: Day 3

Good morning bloggers!! Today is Day 3 of Waltzing Mouse Stamps previews - I hope you are enjoying what the DT are creating. Don't forget that tomorrow there will a release day Blog Waltz with prizes!!

The stamp sets I've used on my creations today are Holiday Labels 14, Compliments of the Season, Text It & Big Blooms - Poinsettias.

First up -  A bottle tag made using the Labels 14 Nesties - yes, they landed on my doorstep yesterday!!!!!! :D

I used 3 different sized dies to make this. The largest one for the cardstock and the patterned layer on the bottom. On the middle piece I used Text It stamped with Bundled Sage distress ink and the smallest layer is stamped using one of the Holiday Labels 14 stamps and a sentiment from Compliments of the Season

Next up  - A Christmas card using Compliments of the Season & Big Blooms - Poinsettias

I went waaaaaaaaaay out of my comfort zone here and made my own background. The jury is still out on whether I'm happy with it or not.

I took a plain brown cardstock, a snowflakes stamp from the Compliments of the Season set, white chalk ink and got to work.. very apprehensively!! lol.

If you were on Claire's blog yesterday you will see the tutorial on how to layer the poinsettia, I loved the idea so I've done my own version of it. I stamped the image out 4 times using brown momento ink onto My Minds Eye 'Bella Bella' papers. I then inked the edges quite well and added stickles to the very edge. The stickles absorbs the colour of the ink and really makes it stand out.

I've done the centre of the flower using self adhesive flat backed yellow pearls and I also added white pearls to the centres of all the snowflakes.

Here are the links to the DT ladies also previewing today:

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure to join us for the Blog Waltz tomorrow at 11:00 am Pacific, 12:00 noon Mountain, 1:00 pm Central, 2:00 pm Eastern and 7:00 pm GMT

Have a great day!

Waltzing Mouse Stamps - October Release: Day 2

I so hope you all enjoyed Day 1 of the Waltzing Mouse Stamps October release. We have 3 days of fabulous previews and then the Blog Waltz will start on Thursday, October 7th at 11:00 am Pacific, 12:00 noon Mountain, 1:00 pm Central, 2:00 pm Eastern and 7:00 pm GMT.

Today I will be showcasing 3 of the new sets - Holiday Labels 14, Compliments of the Season & Text It.

For my card I used the Holiday Labels 14 and Compliments of the Season. My Labels 14 dies didn't arrive on time so I hand cut it -  so simple to do and so effective. You can use these stamps even if you don't have the dies, of course it's always more fun if you do have them, lol.

My papers are from my Figgy Pudding scraps. I've inked them with Antique Linen and then stitched them. The cream grosgrain ribbon is part of my stash that the very lovely Kirsty Wiseman sent me.

I've used TH Pine Needles distress ink for all my stamping, matches the papers so well!! And to finish I added some little self adhesive pearls.

To compliment my card I made a sweet gift box. I got the instructions from SplitCoast Stampers resources

This started out as plain white cardstock and I used one of the Text it stamps with antique linen distress ink. Then I inked all of the edges.

The sentiment stamp is from Compliments of the Season. -it's been cut out using circle Nestabilities. For the larger circle I placed the nestie I used for the sentiment on my paper and ripped around the outside of it.

Again, I used cream grosgrain ribbon and added a pale blue button & some twine.

To see more wonderful previews of the upcoming releases please do visit Claire, Lisa, Anya, Bonnie, Belinda, Joan, Julia, Mona, Jennifer, Lynn, & Laurie

Thanks for looking :D
